Decision on Host City Change from Osaka to Nagoya

In early 2022, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of ICRC2023 decided to change the host city from Osaka to Nagoya due to the current status of COVID-19. Originally we tried to host ICRC2023 at the Osaka International Convention Center in Osaka, Japan, but the pandemic situation in summer 2023 is still unpredictable as of Mar 2022.

To save the organizing cost preparing for different scenarios and to reduce the risk of a large amount of cancellation fee, we decided to have the conference at a university, namely Nagoya University instead.

Good news is that the landmarks of Osaka and Nagoya are both castles and so our effort to redesign the conference banner was minimal.
